Paddling trip on Bull Run – Oct 19, 2019

Bring your boat, come out and join us for a canoeing and kayaking trip on Bull Run on Saturday, October 19, starting at 9:30 am.
We’ll start at the stream access point at the Stone Bridge parking lot in Manassas National Battlefield Park, off of Lee Highway (Rt 29).
Exit point will be the Bull Run-Occoquan Trail parking area at Rt 28, on the Fairfax County side of Bull Run.
Distance is about 5.75 miles, and the paddling trip will probably take about three hours. There is a current in this part of Bull Run, so paddling is current-assisted. There are some shallow areas where, depending on water level, you may scrape the bottom of your boat or even have to get out and pull the boat a short distance.
