Park Authority to hold Trails Day celebration
Prince William County Park Authority will celebrate National Trails Day on Saturday, June 7, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. with a trail improvement event at Andrew Leitch Park in Dale City. Volunteers are needed to help rehabilitate a 1-mile trail and clean-up Neabsco Creek. The trail and creek run through Leitch Park. The event will be sponsored by the Park Authority in partnership with Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition.

No trail building experience is necessary to participate in the trail project for National Trails Day. On-site training, tools, snacks and water will be provided to volunteers. Volunteers should wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, a hat and gloves. Individuals, groups and families are all welcome. The National Trails Day event will happen rain or shine. Volunteers will meet at Easterly Baseball Field at Andrew Leitch Park.
