There were cold gusts of wind on Saturday morning as volunteers gathered for the trash cleanup, but it didn’t interfere with another successful trash cleanup of the Marumsco Creek and wetlands. Once again, thanks to the volunteers (numbering over 30) who came out and helped to remove trash that had washed downstream into the Park during rainstorms. About 65 bags of trash and four tires were collected, along with many other items, including: wheeled trash bin, plastic children’s toy vehicles, storage crate, plastic buckets, child car seat, basket balls, soccer balls, and one TV remote control.
Here are some pictures of our volunteers at work:
The Marumsco Creek cleanup is sponsored by:
- PW Soil & Water Conservation District
- PW Trails & Streams Coalition
- PWC Dept of Parks & Recreation (Thanks to the Park staff who were on site at the cleanup to haul the trash to the dumpster.)
