DESCRIPTION:Please register here for the 2nd Sunday Hike on Powell’s Creek\, along a segment of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail.  The first leg of the hike will be on the established trail along the north side of Powell’s Creek in Prince William County’s Powell’s Landing Park.  The second leg of the hike will follow the trail into Leesylvania State Park to the overlook above Powell’s Creek.  Total distance will be about three miles.  The Leesylvania State Park section includes some hills. \nMeet at the intersection of Radcliffe Ln and Panorama Dr in the Powell’s Landing community (Woodbridge VA).  Parking is available along both streets.\n\n\n\n\nStart time is 1:00 pm \n\nRegistration will allow us to track the number of participants\, and notify you if the hike is postponed or cancelled because of weather conditions.\nQuestions?  contact secretary@pwtsc.org

DESCRIPTION:Thanks to all who have volunteered to help remove trash from Marumsco Creek and wetland\, on Saturday March 18\, 2023.  Registration for this event is now closed. \nThis cleanup will focus specifically on the stream corridor and wetland\, as shown on the maps.  This is an undeveloped area of Veteran’s Park.  The trash in the wetland is carried in with storm water from the developed areas upstream.  Pictures are shown below. \nParking and check-in for the cleanup will be at the parking lot for the Little League ball fields.  Volunteers will walk from there to the cleanup area. \nThe PW Dept of Parks\, Recreation and Tourism will have staff on hand with utility vehicles to haul the collected trash back to a dumpster. \nLocation:  Veteran’s Park\, 14300 Veteran’s Drive\, Woodbridge VA\, 22191 \nTime:  9:00 am to noon \nQuestions?  contact secretary@pwtsc.org

DESCRIPTION:Volunteers Needed to Clean Occoquan River – The water supply for most of Eastern Prince William & Fairfax Counties   \nOn Saturday\, September 24\, 2022 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. (rain date October 1\, 2022)\, Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition (PWTSC)\, a 501(c)3 organization\, is conducting its 13th annual clean-up of the upper Occoquan River\, from nine different sites along 25+ miles of the Occoquan River.
