Walking the dog, supporting the dog park

May 3, 2014May 28, 2014

100_1146PWC Dogs, the volunteer group which helped to establish the K9 Gunner Memorial Dog Park on Minnieville Road in Lake Ridge, held its 3rd Annual Dog Walk for a Dog Park on Sunday, April 27. This annual event raises funds for dog park operations and maintenance; this year 191 dog walkers participated, raising $2,131.55  for the dog park. The event is held at Lake Ridge Park; participants hiked from Lake Ridge Park, followed the trail along the Occoquan reservoir, and then returned to the Park via sidewalk on Hedges Run Drive and Cotton Mill Drive, completing a 2.75 mile loop.  Walkers enjoyed the clear skies and sunshine, taking in the scenic views of the reservoir.
