On January 1, several area hikers joined us for a First Day Hike along the Broad Run from the Center at Innovation shopping center on Rt 28 to Victory Elementary School. We passed along an old mill site and over several tributaries to the Broad Run that provided for some interesting crossings. In addition to spotting several birds and signs of beaver activity, we were able to remove several bags of garage from along the trail.
