Trail Workday – Occoquan Greenway Trail – May 3, 2025

We are seeking volunteers to assist with re-routing a section of natural surface trail along the Occoquan Reservoir in Lake Ridge. The trail near Aviary Way is being re-routed uphill away from the private residence, and away from rough eroded areas. A new bridge has been constructed and we will make the trail connections to the new bridge. The trail workday is Saturday, May 3; time: 9:00 am to noon. Tools will be provided. Please register here
The trail work site is here, in the open area behind the Brookmeade at Lake Ridge sub-division. Volunteers should park on Hedges Run Drive and walk to the work site; there is very little open parking space available within Brookmeade. Parking is also available at nearby Lake Ridge Elementary School.
When you register, we can let you know if the event is rescheduled due to bad weather, and we have a better idea of how many people to expect.
