2nd Sunday Hike – June 9, 2024 – Catharpin Creek Trail

Join us for the hike on Sunday, June 9, 2024.  We will hike the route between Silver Lake Park and Rt 15, and a planned connection to James Long Park.   We’ll follow the existing Catharpin Creek Trail most of the way, but will walk on a shared-use path along the street to bypass a wet and muddy trail section.  Total length of the hike is about 4 miles.  Please register here

 

Park at the trail head in Silver Lake Park (15800 Silver Lake Rd, Haymarket, VA 20169).  Or park at Reagan Middle School if that is more convenient and meet the group at the trail head.

 

Dress to protect from insects; it’s an established trail but there are some sections with grass and other vegetation growing on the trail.  

 

Registration will allow us to track the number of participants, and notify you if the hike is postponed or cancelled because of weather conditions.
