Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail – Powell’s Creek

June 7, 2014 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Please join us as we continue to improve on the Potomac Heritage Trail by Powell’s Creek, one of Prince William’s prettiest sections, which connects Leesylvania State Park to Route 1 south of the Port Potomac community.

We’ll meet at the end of Radcliffe Lane in Woodbridge at 9am on June 7.  There is plenty of work for all ages and ability levels, from boardwalk building to simple lopping and trimming to trash cleanup.

Please wear long pants and proper footwear – there are sections of this trail that are muddy. Bring work gloves and tools (we are looking for loppers, hammers and mallets, cordless drills, shovels, wire cutters and more) if you have them, but don’t worry if you don’t because we will have extras on hand.  We’ll have snacks, extra water, and lunch for participants.

Please register for this workday here – registration isn’t required, but it really helps us best plan for the day.  In case of inclement weather, check our website the morning of the event for cancellation/ postponement information.  For more questions or phone registration, please contact Zoe at 703-785-5785 or [email protected].
