New bridges on trail in Andrew Leitch Park

August 4, 2012August 17, 2012

There’s been progress in completing the Neabsco greenway trail recently. The PWC Parks & Recreation Department installed four new pedestrian/trail bridges in Andrew Leitch Park, which cross Neabsco Creek and connect trail segments from end-to-end in the park. Three fiberglass bridges were assembled and one lumber bridge was constructed. The approximate locations of the bridges are shown on this map. Two of the bridges are near the new trail heads at each end of the park – one near Princedale Drive and one near Lindendale Road.

PWTSC volunteers were at Andrew Leitch Park on August 4 to pickup trash along the trail and in the stream, and to do some trail grooming where the bridges were constructed.
