PWTSC volunteers mowed and trimmed a section of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail near Powells Creek on June 22. The entire trail route between Route 1 and Leesylvania State Park is now available for use. The trail follows the creek near the Port Potomac and Powells Landing communities, then continues into Leesylvania State Park. Trail users can enjoy a walk in the shade through the mature woods in that area this summer.
