Thank you to the volunteers who participated in the cleanup on Saturday morning, to remove a large volume of plastic pollution from one of our local waterways. About 70 bags of trash, 7 tires, and miscellaneous large items were removed from the area near the Boardwalk and from the floodplain and stream channels upstream from it.
The cleanup was supported by:
- The PWC Dept of Parks, Recreation and Tourism
- The PW Soil and Water Conservation District
- The PW Trails & Streams Coalition
We anticipate conducting the annual Neabsco Creek cleanup in early March 2022, in which volunteers work to remove trash in the stream corridor from Rt. 1 down to the Boardwalk. More information will be posted in advance of the event.
