Thanks to the volunteers who participated in the trash cleanup on Saturday, on a beautiful early-fall morning.

At the Hooes Run section of the reservoir, ten volunteers were able to gather a significant amount of trash from the waterway and shorelines:

  • 28 bags of trash, including hundreds of plastic bottles and containers
  • 3 tires
  • 55 gallon plastic barrel, garbage bin, wood pallet, section of drain pipe, lawn chair
  • hot water heater

And thanks to the Lake Ridge Parks & Recreation Association (LRPRA) for hauling away the trash that was gathered during the cleanup.
